Jeffric Carlos Abiera was sentenced Thursday by the Quezon City metropolitan court to a minimum imprisonment of one to two years plus a fine of P100,000 ($5,858) in violation of section 33 of the E-Commerce Law."

I work in a company that has alot of headstrong people. really intelligent one's if i may add. and in this kind of environment... trust me, you dont want to get caught in an arguement with this guys because they wont fizzle down... everybody has his on take an everything making its really challenging to raise a point wherein everybody could agree on a definite strategy.

I saw this article today and it reminded me of my early years in IT. Users and developers banging heads over and over again 24/7.

Working in the financial industry is a tough job, specially if you are in the IT department. There are alot of factors that you need to consider whenever you build an application.. theres those State Laws that you need to follow.. corporate guidelines... And at the end of the day after you have followed all these mumbo jumbo they only boil down to one specific topic... SECURITY. In the financial industry, an application must be secure at all times... in fact it should be 110% percent secure since you are dealing with peoples information, money and ALOT MORE MONEY.
